Are romantic blessings religious ceremonies in Portugal?

Romantic blessings/humanist ceremonies in Portugal are built around the bride and groom. Your minister will make the ceremony as religious or non-religious as you wish. Romantic blessing ceremonies are entirely tailored to you as you can chose everything from the readings, to the music.

Can I add extra services after my wedding is booked?

Yes, additional services will be quoted per item and these extras are invoiced separately in the final invoice at the end.

Can you work within my budget?

That’s our job and we like to explore all the ways to fit your dream expectations within your budget. At the outset of the planning process we suggest an approximate idea of cost according to your plan along with possible venues and destinations in Portugal. We then start working on more precise and detailed quotations matching your budget.

Does your wedding planning service extend to other pre-wedding events or post-wedding events?

We can discuss your requirements at the beginning and are happy to design a bespoke package. Any services provided will incur costs based upon the time involved.

How much communication will we have?

There is no limit on email or phone communication. You can email, call or text as much and as often as you need. We are working as a team and our goal is to ensure you are always updated and in control of all the key decisions.

How often will we be meeting our wedding planner?

That really depends on you. In the initial stages we always prefer to meet our couples but that is entirely up to your preferences. We understand many of our couples are very busy so we are happy to liaise via email, telephone and skype leading up to the big day.

I have already started my Portuguese wedding planning, will you take over?

Sometimes couples like to start the journey and then soon realise it is all too much with work and family commitments, or simply they are just getting lost in the process and are scared of missing that important detail.  We can step in at any point and help you get back on track.

We are not Catholic but would like a religious wedding in Portugal. Can you help?

Yes we certainly can. All you need to do is contact us so that we can discuss all the details and possibilities.

What if I have to reschedule my wedding due to some reason?

In most cases it is possible to re-schedule your wedding but cancellation charges may apply to certain suppliers. It may also not be possible to have the same venue available for the next chosen date.

What is the best time of year to get married in Portugal?

We recommend May, September and October as the best months to get married in Portugal. Venues are more flexible and available in the lower season as July and August are very busy and might get too hot too.  If you are flexible on the date of your wedding this is our recommendation.

Will my Portuguese Wedding be legally recognised internationally?

Yes, your wedding in Portugal will be internationally recognised as a legally binding marriage. However Romantic Blessings ceremonies are not legally recognised. Usually couples having Romantic Blessing would have had civil registered ceremony in their home country.

Will our Wedding Planner take care of the legal paperwork?

Yes, we will help you dealing with all your paperwork and ensure everything is ready for your wedding.

Will you be there on my wedding day?

Absolutely yes! We will be in Portugal before the day, and onsite from before the time that the flowers are delivered to the room of the Bride on the morning of the Wedding until after the meal at the Wedding Reception. We are there to help organise your guests and solve any problems that may occur.

Will you book our Wedding photographer, videographer, entertainment and other suppliers in Portugal?

Yes, we will organise everything for you. All you have to do is let us know what you want and we will find it for you. Once you are happy we will proceed with the bookings.
